It feels great to get and achieve what one dreams of and this journal is the example of it. The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you’re not going to stay where you are, just like this lovely line Nepalese Association of Pediatric Dentistry is setting another milestone by stepping into the world of research through Journal of Nepalese association of Pediatric Dentistry (NAPD). We are taking our first step and there’s a long way to go and I am sure its going to be a beautiful path being paved by the present for the future. It’s my honor to be the Editor-in-Chief of this journal and am very proud to be working with an outstanding and committed team of editors. It is my pleasure and great privilege to present to you all the first issue of JNAPD with an aim to bring forward well constructed, informative, and educational journal in the field of pediatric dentistry. Our journal has a cover page designed to represent the freshness in this field for a new beginning. The Journal showcases the innovative work and research being conducted from all regions of Nepal/World related to child oral health care. On behalf of the JNAPD Editorial Team, I would like to thank our authors, editors and anonymous reviewers who have volunteered to contribute for making this journal and your support has made this a success. I extend a very warm welcome to all the readership of JNAPD. The entire editorial board like to invite everyone to submit and provide us with novel and enlightening manuscripts of theirs to JNAPD and helping in educating and supporting the growing field of child oral health care. Nepalese Association of Pediatric Dentistry (NAPD) has succeeded to create yet another milestone-the Journal of NAPD- this is not less than a miracle for us from the start of our journey just four years back, leaving behind our toddler-phase of establishment. Hence before I begin, I first would like to remember all our team-mates who have been instrumental in making this day come true, they, who are the key to have made this vision a reality after toiling day and night together for bringing us where we stand today. Hats off to our whole team who have made us re-live the famous quote “together we stand…”. I just pray to the Almighty for our unshaken faith to keep pursuing ahead towards the path of success and enlightenment in this field of scientific research.
Re-searching is what we strive for when we execute our plan for answering some question that we believe is the necessity of an individual, fraternity or society on a whole. I don’t see the time far away where the Journal of NAPD would have dug-in sufficient to come up with ample clues, proofs, and the unanswered for paving our clinical path smooth to sail. The excitement and enthusiasm that I see in all my fellow-colleagues is no less a proof of this statement.

We, NAPD, take pride to publish journal to deliver quality education and oral health services for children. We are always ready to put effort to flourish the association and upgrade our knowledge and skills to provide better quality treatment for children. The publication of journal is one of the proofs of our dedication and commitment towards oral health of children. I would like to take opportunity to thank all who are involved in this process, Thanks to authors who believed us and submitted their papers, the reviewers, by lending their expertise and time, giving their opinion and sharing knowledge. It gives me immense pleasure to write a few word of introduction in the first issue of the Journal of Nepalese Association of Pediatric Dentistry. This journal is the brainchild of the Nepalese association of Pediatric Dentistry. It began with a thought and was followed by a lot of hard work and effort, which has made it possible to complete the first issue. The journal promises a good platform for the Pediatric Dentists as well as associated relevant research articles, case reports and reviews from other dental and medical specialists. With the launch of the journal we are stepping into another milestone in the field of Pediatric Dentistry. We have a faith that with relentless hard-work of the team, we will be able to stand at par with the international journals. We would like to thank all the authors who believed in us and waited patiently for the launch. We would like to invite everyone to join us, read and provide your valuable feedbacks for our continuous growth.
